Who's Showing Up
Marine Corps veteran.
Professionally trained.
Connected to the mountains.
I grew up in Northeastern Washington at the southern base of the Selkirk Mountains, where I spent most of my time outside. That's where the love for the outdoors started.
After four years in the Marine Corps, I joined the Veterans Conservation Corps, implementing high-level wildfire fuels reduction and prescribed burn prep across Western Montana. That's where the mitigation work clicked. I went on to study Natural Resource Science at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, British Columbia.
Along a winding and sometimes bumpy road, I moseyed my way out to Crested Butte in 2024. I’m grateful to call this valley home — the landscape and the people here are worth protecting.
In my free time, I’m out looking for wild mushrooms, browsing the endless views, dipping in the Taylor River, or lazing around in the sun with my senior dog, Brizzo (she looks for bones usually, not a big mushroom fan). In the winter, I work with the Adaptive Sports Center of Crested Butte as an instructor. I’m blessed to teach amazing people my favorite childhood winter pastime.
