Why Free
Wildfire safety shouldn't depend on your budget. Every home in the Gunnison Valley faces the same fire, but not every homeowner has the same resources.
The free walk-around removes the barrier to getting professional eyes on your property and a clear sense of what matters.
For homeowners who decide to engage further, the walk-around becomes the foundation for a FireBrief, FireFile, or mitigation work. For homeowners who decide to handle things yourself, the walk-around still gives you a useful starting point and a free DIY checklist they can act on anytime.
Either way, the walk-around is genuinely free. No upselling pressure during the visit, no obligation afterward.
What Happens During the Walk
We meet at your property and spend 60-90 minutes walking it together — from the structure outward, covering all defensible space zones plus the building itself.
Throughout the walk, we point things out, explain what we're seeing, and answer your questions. You're welcome to walk with us the whole time, or hand us off and let us look around independently. Many homeowners are second-home owners who can't be on-site — we document thoroughly and share findings remotely.
Toward the end, we sit down briefly to talk through what we observed, what your top priorities would be, and what your options are for moving forward.

Within a few days of the visit, you receive:
A Walk-Around Summary
A document covering the property context, top observations, items you can tackle yourself, items that benefit from professional work, and helpful resources.
An optional line-item quote
If you'd like a quote for any of the recommended work, we can include one. Each task line-itemed so you can pick what you want addressed and leave the rest.
The summary is yours to keep, share, or act on however you want.
